About Carolina

Jewelry Designer, Jewelry Specialist and Instructor / GIA Graduate

After getting her B.A in English Literature, Carolina started her jewelry training at Mexico City, focusing in traditional illustration and jewelry design. She graduated as a Jewelry Designer and as an Applied Jewelry Professional  at the prestigious GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in London, UK. She took specialized courses and tutorships at world renown Central Saint Martins and upskilled her bench abilities at London’s jewelry district Hatton Garden and at Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, Italy. Back in Mexico City, she was part of the postgraduate program in Contemporary Jewelry Design at Centro University. Furthermore, Carolina has enhanced her practice as a jewelry designer by taking Jewelry and Art History diploma courses both in Mexico City and in Paris, France at L'École des Arts Joailliers. Her work has been represented by Ovalo gallery in Mexico City. 

Carolina has vast experience as a private jewelry consultant, designer and educator; she has taught jewelry techniques and design classes in different venues in Mexico. She offers mentoring and made-to-measure courses for individuals and organizations.

ATELIER

Carolina’s Atelier is based in Mexico City. She works directly with her goldsmith Juan Manuel Rosas and her wax artist Juan Francisco Nava to create one-of-a-kind and made-to-order jewelry. Most of the pieces are handcrafted with eco-friendly recycled metals.
